Wireless Flow Sensors
Sensing technology has steadily improved to the point where many reputable vendors are providing excellent analog measurement dsevices. Typically these low-level or amplified signals are digitized by data acquisition equipment and fed into a control system for processing.
Often the system contains more than one sensor and therefore more than one channel of data acquisition. In fact, each device is individually wired to the system power supply and home-run to the data acquisition equipment.
IntelliSensing sensors directly connect to the controller and provide the following advantages:
- A data acquisition system is contained within each sensor thereby eliminating the cost and inaccuracy of an external channel of data acquisition.
- Digital outputs and power connections share the bus with other sensors and eliminate the costly home-run connections required for analog sensors.
- Utilizes the same proven and reliable low-level sensing techniques coupled with digital correction for improved accuracy.
